Vetbiom psyllium husks - straight feeding stuff for dogs and cats with plenty of valuable fiber.
The fine grinding results in a significantly shorter soaking time compared to unground psyllium husks: 5 minutes versus 20 - 30 minutes.
Available in a resealable 300 g tin.
Composition: 100% psyllium husks, ground
Crude fiber content: 90% (80% soluble and 10% insoluble fiber)
Areas of application:
- Natural source of fiber to supplement the daily ration
- To support overweight and calorie-reduced diets, e.g. for better satiety
- To support the digestive function
- If there is a tendency to soft stools, to improve the consistency by binding water
- For problems with defecation to stimulate intestinal peristalsis ("bulking effect")
- For stomach complaints (e.g. heartburn, eating grass) as mucous membrane protection due to the soluble fiber components
Feeding recommendation for dogs and cats:
- Daily 0.5 g to 1 g per kg body weight or 1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon per 10 kg body weight
- Allow to swell with sufficient liquid before feeding (approx. 100 ml per teaspoon and approx. 200 ml per tablespoon).
- Distribute evenly over meals.
- Slowly increase the daily amount over several days at the beginning.
- 1 heaped teaspoon corresponds to approx. 4 g, a heaped tablespoon approx. 10-12 g
