The napfcheck Relax Tabs consist of a natural whey protein, which has a particularly high content of tryptophan (precursor of the "happiness hormone" serotonin) and also containsimportant B vitamins and minerals , which also play a role in the biosynthesis of serotonin and are involved in the function of the nervous system, among other things (see "Things to know").
We developed our napfcheck RELAX TABS in cooperation with a research group from the Institute of Food Chemistry at the Technical University of Dresden (Peptrition GmbH, spin-off). For our product, we use high-quality protein components from whey, which are obtained using a special process. The exceptionally high content of the essential amino acid tryptophan is decisive for the high quality.
Dhe Relax Tabs are the ideal snack for stressed dogs and can also be used situationally for restlessness, anxiety and generally in stressful situations. The Relax Tabs are also suitable as an accompaniment to behavioral therapy.suitable as support.
Our aim is to develop demand-oriented supplements that also meet other quality criteria such as compatibility and acceptance.

Whey protein is a high-quality source of protein for an optimum supply of tryptophan and other essential amino acids. Our raw material is a so-called refined whey protein, which is particularly rich in tryptophan thanks to its special manufacturing process. At the same time, it has a low milk sugar (lactose) content, which contributes to its excellent digestibility.
Tryptophan plays a central role in the health and function of the nervous system. It is the starting material for important neurotransmitters (messenger substances in the brain) and hormones that regulate mood, sleep, stress management, cognitive functions, learning ability and even the sensation of pain. An adequate supply of tryptophan can therefore help to stabilize the nervous system, improve sleep quality and boost mood.
Tryptophan is the precursor of serotonin and therefore an essential building block for its synthesis. The messenger substance serotonin, also known as the "happiness hormone", regulates many behavior-related functions in the body such as food intake and social behavior. Serotonin is the precursor of melatonin, an important hormone that significantly regulates the sleep-wake rhythm, ensures a good quality of sleep and is therefore also important for the recovery of the nervous system. A lack of serotonin is often associated with anxiety and depression in humans.
Magnesium is crucial for the normal functioning of the nervous system. It helps to regulate nerve impulses, prevent muscle cramps, stabilize mood and reduce stress. A magnesium deficiency can lead to symptoms such as irritability, nervousness, anxiety, sleep disorders and muscle cramps.
B vitamins also play an essential role in the health and function of the nervous system. They act at different levels, from energy production to supporting nerve cells. B1 (thiamine) is involved in the conversion of carbohydrates to glucose, the brain's main source of energy. It also supports neurotransmitter production, protects nerve cells and improves their signal transmission. A deficiency of thiamine can lead to nerve damage and severe neurological disorders. Vitamins B6, B12, niacin and folic acid are all involved in the conversion of tryptophan to serotonin, an important messenger substance in the brain (neurotransmitter), also known as the "happiness hormone". A deficiency of these vitamins can lead to reduced serotonin production and thus have a negative impact on mood, sleep and general well-being.
Zinc plays a role in the regulation of neurotransmitters, has antioxidant properties and is necessary for the function of the immune system. Zinc therefore contributes to normal cognitive function. In organically bound form, it can be absorbed very well by the body.
