Novomineral Enteral - high-dose B12 + folic acid for targeted substitution
Novomineral Enteral contains high doses of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) and folic acid to compensate for nutritional or disease-related deficiencies (e.g. due to diseases of the pancreas, especially exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, or chronic intestinal diseases). The effectiveness of oral administration of vitamin B12 has been scientifically proven several times in both dogs and cats (Torreson et al. 2016, 2017; Salas et al. 2018). A recent study demonstrates a comparable effect and tolerability of oral administration via feed to parenteral administration by injection (Dor et al. 2024).
Daily administration is particularly uncomplicated, as the preparation can be administered together with the basic feed. It should be administered for at least four to twelve weeks or permanently until the underlying disease has healed and the serum blood level has normalized.
